Choose Your Tray Format
Once you know your style, the tray format decides how you customise it, the part that makes clusters feel truly bespoke.
- Mixed Length Lash Trays, 36 & 60 Clusters: 10mm, 12mm and 14mm in one tray, so you map shorter lengths inward and longer outward for a natural gradient. The 36 tray suits everyday; the 60 gives you more for events or longer wear.
- Single Length Lash Trays, 10mm & 12mm: a whole tray of one size for a clean, even look. Ideal as a refill once you know your length, and 10mm is a lovely starting point for beginners.
How to Apply Cluster Lashes, and the Mistakes to Skip
Clusters look harder than they are. With a bit of practice, a full set takes no more than five minutes. Here's the routine that works every time:
- Cleanse and fully dry your lash line. Oil is the number one reason clusters lift early. Start clean and dry.
- Lift a cluster with an applicator and place it under your natural lashes, not on top. This underlash method hides the base.
- Work from the outer corner inward, dropping in shorter lengths as you go for a natural shape.
- Press and hold, don't drag. Dragging shifts the fan before the gel grips.
The slip-ups to avoid: reaching for 14mm first (10mm or 12mm are easier to control), and overloading the eye, fewer, well-placed clusters always look better.
